Oriental eyes
HOW-TO: Asian eyes tend to have very little lid, and when the eyes are open the eyelids become invisible or disappear under the hoods. Avoid frosted shadows in light colors as shimmery shades emphasize puffiness -- use matte colors instead.
- To create depth, apply a warm-toned eyeshadow in medium shade over the eyelid area. Add a subtle touch of highlight underneath the brow arch to make your brow bone more prominent.
- Apply a dark shadow in the crease to de-emphasize any puffiness. Then run a smoky line along the upper lash line using a kohl pencil and blend for a natural finish.
- Line upper and lower lash lines with a black eyeliner, using a softer hand for the lower line.
- Curl lashes and apply two coats of lash-lengthening mascara as the lashes of Oriental eyes tend to be shorter or partially concealed under the hoods.
